Mixed Media Paintings

My artworks are large colourful statement pieces.

I paint with either oils or acrylics and incorporate metals into the image, both in a dominate or subtle fashion.

The lustre and grain of the metal is very fascinating as the light it reflects changes the look of the artwork depending on the time of day and lighting conditions.

On some of the metal pieces, I design laser etched details which add a further dimension. This is a permanent charcoal black finish.

I ran my own engraving business for years, so it was natural for me to find a way of intergrating metal into my art.
